I just purchased a new smart phone. Redmi Note 3 by Xiao Mi. Its the Chinese Giant. Ive already been using Redmi note 1 4G. However, I was very upset when I received it at first when I unpacked it. The phone was filled with bloatware, freeware, adware. Literally those apps was running in the background no matter how hard I tried to disable it and force stop it still doesnt work. So last option before I send it back to the seller. I rooted it. I understand the risk that was stated by other forumer that you will be risking your phone to a brick. So, you have to becareful when you are thinking about rooting it must follow the steps. Here is how I do it.
Step 1, Enable USB Debugging mode on your phone via Developer Options. Of course you have to firstly activate Developer Options in your Settings page. To do that, simply go to Settings >> About Phone >> then tap on the MIUI version around 7 – 10 times. Now you can go back to main Settings page and you should see Developer Options appear there.
Updated root Miui V7.0.19.0
- Use SP Flash Tool to flash boot older or by of version 7.0.16.0 (only choose "boot" option on Flash tool). If you do not have SP flash tool, download here
- After, root like Old way, done!
- Final, use SP Flash Tool to flash boot of version 7.0.19.0 again.
and you are done!
